Maycoln Leôni Martins Teodoro

Permanent teacher (master’s and doctoral degree)

My academic formation was in clinical psychology and psychological assessment. Since then, I have been organizing my research interests in two lines. The first involves topics related to suicide, depression and other internalizing problems. Within this scope, there are projects that link the effect of stress on the activation of beliefs and dysfunctional thoughts, based on the concept of cognitive vulnerability. I am also interested in research that involves the study of efficacy and effectiveness in clinical interventions (restricted to the doctorate). The second line of research deals with the development and adaptation of instruments related to Cognitive Therapy and Family Psychology.

Marcela Mansur Alves

Permanent teacher (master’s and doctoral degree)

I have background in psychological assessment, individual differences and neurosciences, with research focused on education and health contexts, mostly. My current interests focus on two main lines: personality, perfectionism and mental health, with studies on the adaptation and construction of measures for the evaluation of perfectionism in its positive and negative aspects, and how it relates to personality, parental bonds, performance, procrastination, motivation, emotion and health; and evaluation and cognitive training, with research aimed at the adaptation and construction of measures for digital / computerized evaluation of cognitive processes / intelligence and development of programs for cognitive training in children, adolescents, adults and the elderly. I am open to contacts of potential postgraduate students interested in these topics or related topics.

Pricila Cristina Correa Ribeiro

Permanent teacher (master’s degree)

I have a degree in Gerontology and Public Health. My main focuses are in psychology of aging and epidemiological aspects of adult and elderly health. Currently, I conduct clinical and population-based research aimed at intervention and identification of behavioral, social, and lifestyle factors related to unfavorable outcomes in old age such as functional dependence, cognitive decline, dementia, and depression. In addition, I am interested in the study of psychosocial life-course factors associated with positive outcomes in old age such as life satisfaction and cognitive functionality.

Developmental Neuropsychology

Ângela Maria Vieira Pinheiro

Permanent teacher (master’s and doctoral degree)

Has research interests in Basic Cognitive Processes with emphasis on learning and development of reading and writing, construction of word recognition and comprehension measures, developmental dyslexia, and the experimental test of the online course Dyslexia: Causes and Consequences as a tool for distance learning for teachers of the basic education. Interest in extension: updating and expansion of the DislexiaBrasil website.

Antônio Jaeger

Permanent Teacher (master’s degree)

I am interested in supervising work on cognitive psychology and cognitive neuroscience, with special emphasis on the investigation of the cognitive and neural processes underlying the coding and evocation of episodic memories. Among the work that we have developed, some have applications in the legal area (testimonial psychology) and in the education area (the identification of mnemonic strategies that promote learning). Within the neuroscientific approach, we seek to investigate the neural activity underlying memory evocation processes through electroencephalography and event-related potential (EEG-ERP) techniques.

Cláudia Cardoso Martins

Permanent teacher (master’s and doctoral degree)

Research interests: socio-cognitive development; development of oral and written language and learning disorders.

Edson Massayuki Huziwara

Permanent Teacher (master’s degree)

I have experience in Experimental Psychology, working mainly on stimulus control, conditional discrimination and stimulus equivalence. Currently, the experiments conducted by my research team are related to the learning processes involving rudimentary musical skills, the investigation of electrophysiological signals in the formation of classes of equivalent stimuli, and the investigation of relational networks through IRAP (Implicit Relational Assessment Procedure).

Renato Bortoloti

Permanent Teacher (master’s degree)

I have training and experience in Experimental Analysis of Behavior, with emphasis on behavioral analysis of cognitive processes. I work with behavioral models that simulate the establishment of symbolic relations in various experimental conditions. My research interests focus mainly on psychological processes involved in the production of language and other symbolic behaviors. I am willing to supervise postgraduate students with similar interests.

Thais Porlan de Oliveira

Permament Professor (master’s and doctoral degree)

My background and research interests are centered in Behavior Analysis and in the interlocution with Developmental Psychology, especially with a focus on the acquisition of basic speech processes and on the development of the symbolic function in general. My current research interests focus on experimental research aimed at young children, with or without disabilities, with studies focusing on the understanding of interactive educational processes, speech and language development, socio-cognitive development (as imitation and cooperation between pairs) and basic processes in the development of cognition and symbolic function (such as simple and complex discriminatory repertoires, acquisition and development of categorization repertoires, for example). I am open to contacts of potential graduate students interested in these topics, either for experimental investigations or theoretical-conceptual study. The interest in topics related to other subjects within the analytical behavioral approach can be evaluated, since they have a focus on the investigation of the development of repertoires involved in cognition and language processes with implications for education and health.

Vitor Generaldi Haase

Permanent Professor (master’s and doctoral degree)

Has experience in the field of neuropsychology, interested in structure-function correlation in neuropsychology, information processing models in neuropsychology (mathematical cognition, lexical processing, visuospatial processing, executive functions), neuropsychological rehabilitation, human development and quality of life, clinical epidemiology and evolutionary psychology. Collaborate with three blogs:

Teachers Collaborators

Viviane Verdu Rico

Collaborating teacher (master’s degree)

With a background in Experimental Psychology in Behavior Analysis, she is interested in basic processes and applied questions in cognition and language, with emphasis on symbolic function, basic learning processes and development of teaching procedures involving symbolic behavior, especially, reading and writing abilities, according to the theoretical perspective of behavior analysis.
